Alternating between television and feature films, Cassandra found herself working with Australia’s top directors. She was chosen by John Duigan of “Sirens” fame to star in the film “One Night Stand,” and perform the title track. She received a best actress nomination from the Australian Film Industry for her role as the enigmatic Sharon. Cassandra was really taking off. After an appearance in the movie “Rebels” with Matt Dillon, came the thriller ”Fair Game” where Cassandra starred as a female action hero--the Australian Lara Croft. Continuing with the action theme, Cassandra co-starred with Carl Weathers in “Hurricane Smith” directed by Colin Budds. In the midst of this exploding career the radiant Cassandra met the dynamic John Denver, America’s beloved country music icon. John discovered Cassandra singing on stage one night at Australia’s famous Sebel Townhouse. It was classic love at first sight. In a heartbeat Denver swept Cassandra off her feet. |
